Basic Educational Technology Online Course

This "course" in educational technology is available for preservice and inservice teachers to help them improve their knowledge and skills in the field of educational technology.  You can use the materials from this course during Educ 310 or anytime throughout your preservice or inservice teaching experience.

In order to learn about the field of educational technology, you should go through each of the links below.  The first links provide you with an overview of educational technology and the instructional design process.  Next, you will find tutorials on basic computer operations and computer troubleshooting and maintenance.  The remaining  links provide you with step by step instructions on how to use several basic software programs.

The best approach in using these materials would be to read through the first series of tutorials thoroughly.  Then for the instructions on using software applications, read the text instructions, view the video instructions (when available), then make a printout of the text instructions to use when you need them.

For more advanced technology integration skills, see the Advanced Technology Integration Online Course.

You should use the Study Guide for basic technology skills to help prepare you for the basic technology skills test in Education 310.
